Mikayla Preus represents businesses and individuals in employment matters. Prior to joining Schwartz Semerdjian, Mikayla worked at a firm handling civil business litigation and employment litigation, including wage and hour, non-competition, and discrimination disputes.

Mikayla received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology of Law and Criminal Deviance from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Mikayla then attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law to obtain her law degree. While in law school Mikayla volunteered with “Street Law”, where she would teach classes at a local high school on various areas of law. Mikayla also volunteered at the Tubman Chrysallis Center, which provides pro-bono legal representation to victims of domestic violence. While in law school, Mikayla clerked at a firm handling civil business and employment litigation.

When not at work, Mikayla enjoys hiking, snowboarding, weightlifting, road trips, and hanging out with her husband, Isak, and two dogs, Ricky and Stevie Nicks.
